A few years ago, I took a giant leap in my writing journey by joining American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW). Not only have I learned so much about my craft, but I have made the greatest friends through my local chapter. Erin Mifflin and I clicked immediately. We both love writing historical fiction, we love many of the same books and we love supporting each other. She was one of the first people to read my story (a previous draft but not a lot has changed) and always sent me messages with helpful feedback. She asked me to be a guest on her blog this week and I was thrilled to talk about my publishing journey. I love watching for her review posts, because like I said, with our similar book tastes, if she liked a book, I’ll probably enjoy it too. Hope you’ll check it out here.
One other thing I’ve been meaning to share is that Kindle Vella updated in a big way. Android users can now see stories they follow in their Kindle app library and will now get notifications for new episode releases. They also are showing up on Kindle devices (at least on my newest generation Kindle Fire 10 inch) and the reading experience is so much better. Since my story is completed, you can follow the story, read the first episode in your browser, and then access the rest of the episodes through your Kindle app. Isn’t that exciting?
