Where Stories are a thing of the Past
Historical Fiction for Young Adults and the Young at Heart
Welcome!
Have you wondered if you were born in the wrong era, or have you been told you’re an “old soul”? Then this might be the place for you. If you’re drawn to old things–we might be kindred spirits. If you long for old-fashioned values and Christian virtues, then please take time to read on, because I think you’ll like what you find here.
I’m Stephanie, and for as long as I can remember I’ve gravitated toward timeless things. As a young person, my bedroom décor consisted of an old trunk, a makeshift window seat, Victorian prints, and a vintage radio. Then as now, I enjoy old literature, listen to classical music, and love museums. When I was younger, I nabbed books that whisked me away to a different time period. Why the fascination with escaping into the past? I think perhaps because things moved at a slower pace. Maybe because courting was a cornerstone of romance and chastity was celebrated. Maybe because people demonstrated an understanding in the sovereignty of a Creator God and adhering to Biblical statutes—though sometimes imperfectly. If you feel the same way, or know a young person that does, then I hope you’ll consider my books.

About Me
I write Christian historical fiction for young adults and the young at heart. In my books, teen main characters deal with spiritual, emotional, and sometimes physical obstacles. Though set in a different time period, the struggles are universal. The resolutions aren’t always picture perfect. But it’s my prayer that readers will see God in the process.
Strong faith themes, clean and wholesome romance, immersive historical settings, and characters who want to pull you along on their adventures is what I aim for. I’d love for you to join me, no matter what age you may be, and explore these past worlds together.
