I moved to a new site and then vanished, didn’t I? I’ll try to post updates a little more often than every six months. So what’s new in my world? On the writing front, I finally reached 90,000 words for the second book in my Uncertain Riches series. I’d love to say when I’ll actually be finished but a completed project still feels pretty out of reach. I get frustrated with my slow pace at times, but God keeps reminding me that He’s right on time. In the meantime, I’m letting the characters lead (which means they’re trampling all over my outline) and allowing them to tell me the story. I have to say, I kind of like where they’ve been taking me. Their ideas make a much more interesting plotline.
This month, The Uncertainty of Fire is featured in Clean Fiction Magazine, a publication dedicated to reviewing clean and Christian books for adults. Author friend Alexandria Miracola, owner of 21:25 Books, wrote an in-depth, full-page review of my book and her kind words were a great encouragement during a month of low sales and little feedback. See what I mean about God always being on time?
“Daniels does not shy away from the messy, intricate process of sorting through grief, doubt, and uncertainty, but she also showcases how God steps into our mess and patiently waits for us to perceive His heart and hand, and it is artfully done.” –21:25 Books, Reviews by Alexandria Miracola, Clean Fiction Magazine, Autumn Edition 2023
There are other exciting things taking place which I’ll save for other posts this week (or soon).
