It’s been said that patience is a virtue. Well, it must be, because I’ve been wanting to share this for a long time. My cover designer, Erica Richardson has worked so hard. She was so patient with me as I changed my mind (I’ve lost count how many times) on what direction I wanted to go in. When my sister, Cindy Villegas–she doesn’t have any public artists accounts yet, but we’re working on that :)–started playing around with making her artwork digital, I knew that I’d love to incorporate something she had drawn. Paired with Erica’s design skills and know-how, they created a cover that I’m thrilled to share.

If you’re new here, I write Christian historical fiction for teens/young adults and the young at heart. This story has been on my heart and through numerous reworkings and drafts for over ten years. Last July, I published it in serial format on Amazon’s brand new Kindle Vella platform. The support I’ve received throughout this year has been pretty amazing. And God blessed what felt to me like a leap of faith, but to Him was just another stepping stone in this writing journey.

For the past six months, I’ve been working to get it ready to publish in traditional formats. I’ll be announcing a release date soon for the e-book and paperback.
