The Long and Winding (Research) Road
…another thing you should realize about historical fiction authors. Rabbit trails. Rabbit holes. We could go down so many. But if we want to ever get a book written, we have to refrain from that. We have to stick to the main trail of needed facts so we don’t spend precious time researching non-important details. Even though we kind of love that too, and those additional facts help enrich our stories.
Faith Imprisoned
My faith becomes chained to my own ideas, and when I try to break free from them, to allow God to do what He wishes with this journey, I put my hands and feet back into the “I want it my way” shackles.
Reading Between the Outlines
But after several drafts, I promised myself, I would thoroughly outline my next project. And that had been my plan. Only my plan hasn’t been cooperating.
(W)rung Out
And now I’m hanging out on this ladder. Probably well above ground. And I’m not too crazy about heights. I’m not even sure how long I’ll be on this rung.
That Holy Spirit Nudge
